Website Design F.A.Q.
For most everyone, building a website is new, unchartered territory. A lot of questions and concerns arise. Check out some of our frequently asked questions!
Q: How long does it take for my website to be built?
A: Usually 2-6 weeks is the normal timeframe. It varies upon what you are wanting with your website as far as number of pages, complexity, etc. Also getting the content and pictures from you is a factor in the turnaround time for the completion of the site.
Q: Can I put an online store on my site?
A: Yes! For an additional setup fee you can put a fully functional ecommerce store on your website.
Q: Do you offer SEO (search engine optimization)?
A: No. Your website will be given a good foundation for SEO with alt tags, meta data descriptions and a sitemap. But you will need to employ another company if you want SEO optimization.
Q: After the website is completed, what then?
A: You will have total access and control of your website. JM Web and Design is willing to make the updates and changes to your website for a monthly or hourly fee, if you so desire.
Q: But what if I don’t know how to make changes to my website?
A: Once the website is complete, we will give you a full tutorial of the workings of the website; how you update and edit content, pictures, etc.
Q: Will my website be viewable from smartphones and tablets?
A: Yes, your website is automatically optimized for mobile viewing.
Q: What are the additional costs to maintain a website after it’s completed?
A: You will be charged a monthly server fee from JM Web and Design. If you do not wish to make updates to the website you will also be charged an editing fee every month.
Q: I don’t have a logo for my company, what should I do?
A: No problem. JM Web and Design will be happy to create a unique logo specifically for you and your company.
